Many gardeners love to watch the birds that are attracted to their gardens. Their somewhat quirky behavior is entertaining and very often mysterious. I’ve often wondered if two birds were battling for territory or engaged in a mating ritual…sometimes it’s hard to tell.
Cornell Lab of Ornithology — the experts on birds — is offering an online bird behavior course beginning January 6th. Their course is aimed at helping birdwatchers learn how to observe and interpret communication and behavior between birds.
Course size is limited, so if you’re interested visit their Website to enroll or purchase a gift for your favorite birdwatcher. The cute little guy pictured in the photo is Chirp. He’s a blue jay that we rescued from our backyard this past spring. We raised him…which was tremendous fun for my entire family…and then returned him to our backyard. You can read more about Chirp at my blog — Simply Susan!
